    1. Family friendly restaurant in Falls Church City
    2. You do not need a reservation here. There are tons of tables.
    3. There's a kids menu that's $5 above (Mac and cheese, spaghetti and meatballs).
    4. They give you fried pizza dough with garlic, cheese, and parsley as a compliment appetizer. It was tasty.
    5. My hubby got the Orso di fumare (sausage pizza) and thought it was good. It wasn't Pupatella good but still good. I got a side of the Italian salad and potato gnocchi for my entree. The Italian salad was what you would expect of an Italian Salad. It was tangy and fresh; not overly dressed. The potato gnocchi was the fluffiest and lightest I've ever had. The gnocchi had a lot of veggies and sausage. My only compliant was that the sausage was not cut up properly. It wasn't in pieces; more like a long string of sausage. The side portion of the gnocchi was perfect as it was on the heavier side with the cream sauce.

Sadly, I'm not a fan of the Neapolitan pizza here (I LOVE Pupatella and Assaggi down the road!). Although it's VPN certified with ingredients imported from Italy and cooked in a wood-oven, the pizza was soggy and not cooked all the way through. The Margherita pizza was dry, there wasn't enough cheese or sauce. It didn't have the pillowy crust that I was hoping for. I enjoyed the Verde pizza loaded with veggies, but the toppings made the pizza heavy and became droopy.

I enjoyed the complementary fried dough app with parmesan cheese. My husband liked the sizzling roasted olives and toasted bread.

The best part of the meal was the Summer Sun Cocktail with mango puree, vodka or gin, lemon, and simple syrup. It was refreshing and among the best cocktails I've had over the summer. The other cocktails on the menu are a tad too sweet like the Strawberry Mojito, I got a mulligan and it was more balanced out the 2nd time around.

There's a great deal for 1/2 off Wine on Weds for about $20 a bottle. The selection of wine is unique and not part of the normal wine menu. My husband and I enjoyed the bottle of Cuvi Tempranillo, which is a type of Pino. I have never heard of that brand and some of the other ones on the menu.

The staff was really nice as the Manager offered to remake the Strawberry Mojito and answered some questions I had about the food and wine.

Pizzeria Orso is more casual with lots of families and kids and be prepared to wait. My husband and I waited for 20 min on Wed night.

Look out for the specials - you'll see them posted on the blackboard with vibrant markers. Super easy to miss, wish I saw the special before ordering.

My husband and I dined here on Saturday with our almost 5 month old son. We made reservations for 7pm via Yelp and were seated immediately upon arrival. Despite it being Falls Church Restaurant Week, we decided to stay on the regular menu and order two pizzas to share. The first, the Orso Di Fumare (smoked tomato, mozzarella, roasted peppers, Grana, sausage, scallions),was a delicious, more traditional pie. The sausage was well-flavored, the smoked tomato added a tad of spice as well, and the roasted peppers were marinated and seasoned well. All of the ingredients were distributed evenly and fresh. The second pizza, the Orso (prosciutto di Parma, mozzarella, pecorino Tuscano, fontina, grana, ricotta, garlic) was my personal favorite. The prosciutto added a salty/savory element, the ricotta added a creaminess, and the garlic rounded out the well-combined flavors. The crusts of both were delicious! I thought they tasted of sourdough and was soft and crisp in equal amounts. I enjoyed the tasty fried dough compliment to start our meal. The parmesan and garlic mix was delicious!

Service was excellent during our meal as well. Parking was easily available right out front of the building and is free for 2 hours on Saturdays. I noticed, generally, lots of young kids so I'd definitely return again keeping that in mind. The patio looks inviting and I'd love to return in the warmer months to enjoy the outdoor atmosphere!

Great ambience, friendly service and very nice pizza options.  The complimentary crust appetizer with parm was a nice touch.  The crust on our pizza was the perfect amount of crispy and chewy neapolitan style.  The only thing I would recommend would be to add some salt and pepper shakers to the table. We will definitely be back to try additional things on the menu.

I ate here awhile ago and was looking forward to eating here again.
They gave us some pizza dough with a sprinkling of great grated cheeses and (garlic?) chives. It was really tasty as an appetizer. A little greasy but tasty!
Our waiter Morgan gave us a friendly greeting. His timing throughout was perfect. I ordered a margareta pizza 1/2 arugula and 1/2 fungi (mushrooms). Morgan was the first waiter to ask all the right questions- cooked or raw arugula, etc. I preferred raw on top at the end with no extra seasoning afterward. Perfetto. I wish I had ordered extra mushrooms on the other half. They were fresh, sliced thin, and good.
Pizza was pretty good but I remembered it as being great. My glass of wine complimented the pizza well.
